BIBLE STUDY
Our Bible Study group meets weekly on Tuesday morning at 10am via Zoom.
Holy Scripture is an important part of our faith. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, contain all things necessary to salvation. There are many ways people read scripture.
According to the Catechism, "We understand the meaning of the Bible by the help of the Holy Spirit, who guides the Church in the true interpretation of the Scriptures" (p. 853-854). We call the Holy Scriptures the Word of God because we believe God inspired the human authors and because God still speaks to us today through the Bible.
In our discussions, we address questions such as: What was God's message to people back then? What is God's message to people now? What is God's message to you at this time in your life? Our Bible Study offers the opportunity to grow in your faith and understanding of God's Word and to look at the Bible in various contexts such as historical, cultural, and spiritual so that you can continue to build on the foundation that God has made for you and so that you can prayerfully discern what God's message is for you.
