Centering Prayer
Life can be crazy with work, errands, house maintenance, socializing, growing relationships, and just the daily 'hustle and bustle.' At the end of the day, the bed and Netflix often calls your name and your mind buzzes around to plan for the next day.
When do you have a moment to put life on pause; to be in a sense of calm; and to let God refresh your spirit, mind, and body? And, where would you begin?
One method that often brings a little 'getaway' from life is meditation. Centering prayer is a form of meditation that uses silent prayer to allow God to speak to you, calm you, and transform you one step at a time.
Come join us on Sundays during the 'school' year at 12:30pm in the St. Luke's Chapel through the Community Room (enter through the left side entrance of church, turn left and walk through the Community room) and explore with us in the practice of Centering Prayer as taught by Father Thomas Keating.
