No two Episcopal churches are exactly alike, but we’re all trying to seek and share God’s love. Haven’t been to an Episcopal Church in a while? Here are a few things you can expect:
COMMUNION
We offer the sacrament of Holy Communion to all baptized Christians. If you do not wish to receive Communion, we also welcome you to come forward for a word of blessing from the priest.
DIVERSE LEADERS
You will see both men and women, straight and LGBTQ individuals, married and unmarried folks serving as priests, deacons, and lay worship leaders. Leadership and ordination to ministry in The Episcopal Church is open to all people.

MUSIC
We love to sing together. In some churches, you’ll even find the priest and people chanting portions of the worship service. Feel free to listen and join in when you are ready.
PRAYER
We all participate in worship through our liturgy–prayers and ceremonies that ground us in ancient traditions and give our common life a rhythm. First time in an Episcopal Church? Please relax and don’t be afraid to ask for help navigating the service. Over time, the repetition of words and movement gives our worship a pattern that becomes comforting and familiar.
